Cookie policy

Learn how RunHTML uses necessary cookies, browser storage, and third-party resources to manage page state and protect the privacy of your HTML code.

What cookies do

Cookies are small text records stored by a website in your browser. They can help maintain necessary sessions, security state, and page state. RunHTML does not use cookies to read or store the HTML in your editor.

Cookie settings can differ between browsers, pages, and infrastructure. The cookies actually set during your visit are the ones shown by your browser developer tools or a page notice.

Browser-based drafts

RunHTML may use browser localStorage for your editor draft, language choice, or page preferences. The editor draft stays in your browser and device; normal typing and local preview do not automatically upload it to the server.

After clearing site data or localStorage, your draft, language prompt, and page preferences may return to their defaults. Copy or download important code yourself as a backup.

Temporary share data

The current HTML is sent to the server only after you click Share and confirm. The server stores the shared content under a random token for 1 hour, after which it is automatically deleted.

Before sharing, the system removes HTML tags, styles, scripts, and other non-page text, then sends up to 2,000 characters to a content-safety service for review. Content that does not pass the review does not receive a share link.

Necessary technical information

To deliver pages, troubleshoot failures, record share status, and protect the service, the server may record necessary information such as request time, path, browser details, network address, result, share token, and code length. Normal successful share logs do not record the complete HTML.

Third-party resources

Pages may load fonts, icons, scripts, or a third-party service used for content-safety review. Third parties may handle basic network request information under their own policies. Review their privacy and cookie notices before use.

How to manage cookies

You can view, block, restrict, or delete cookies in your browser settings, and clear RunHTML localStorage and other site data. Blocking necessary cookies or clearing browser storage may affect language, drafts, and page state, but normally does not prevent you from reopening the homepage.
